1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Coachable. They work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If there is a separate written order, package description, or invoice for your project, those details apply in addition to these Terms.
2. About Our Services
Coachable produces professional highlight reels and related deliverables for student athletes. A typical project works like this:
- You share your game or practice footage and photos with us, usually through Dropbox or Google Drive.
- We hold a scheduled consultation with the athlete and/or parent(s) or guardian(s) to understand your goals.
- Payment for your selected package is processed.
- We edit your reel using professional software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, and Topaz AI) along with licensed assets and motion-graphics templates (for example, from Envato Elements) and any B-roll appropriate to the project.
- We deliver your finished reel back to you through Dropbox or Google Drive, which completes the order.
The specific deliverables (reel length, social media cuts, brand package elements, coach outreach, and similar) depend on the package you select.
3. Eligibility and Minors
Our Services are intended for student athletes, many of whom are under 18. If the athlete is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms, provide the required consents, and supervise the athlete's use of our Services. By booking on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are that athlete's parent or legal guardian and that you are authorized to enter into these Terms.
4. Booking, Payment, and Pricing
You book by completing our online questionnaire and selecting a package. Prices are those shown on our Site or provided to you in a quote or invoice at the time of booking.
- Payment methods: We accept card payments through Square and may also send you a manual invoice or arrange a direct payment method. Square handles your card details directly; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- When payment is due: Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due before we begin editing your reel.
- Taxes and fees: You are responsible for any taxes or third-party fees that may apply to your payment.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. Because our Services involve custom creative work performed specifically for you, all payments are non-refundable once your order is placed.
- Cancelling or rescheduling a consultation: You may cancel or reschedule your scheduled consultation at no charge if you give us at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled time.
- Late cancellations and no-shows: If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, or do not attend your scheduled consultation, a $200 fee applies.
- No refunds after work begins: Once payment is made and production has started, fees are non-refundable, including if you later change your mind, cannot provide usable footage, or become unresponsive.
If you believe there is an error with your order or a problem with your deliverable, contact us and we will work with you in good faith, including through the revision process described below.
6. Revision Policy
Each project includes up to two (2) rounds of revisions at no additional charge, so we can adjust your reel to match your goals.
- Revision requests should be specific and consolidated into a single list per round.
- Revisions cover edits within the scope of your original package (for example, trimming clips, reordering, adjusting text or music selections we have available). New footage, a different concept, or added deliverables may be treated as new work and quoted separately.
- Additional revision rounds beyond the two included may be available for an additional fee.
- Please submit revision requests promptly after delivery so we can keep your project moving.
7. Delivery-Time Policy
We aim to deliver your finished reel within up to four (4) weeks. This timeline begins once we have received everything we need from you, including your payment, all usable footage and photos, and the information from your consultation.
- Delays in providing footage, feedback, or approvals will extend the timeline accordingly.
- Rush timelines, if available, may be offered for an additional fee and must be agreed in writing.
- Delivery is made through Dropbox or Google Drive. It is your responsibility to download and save your files promptly (see our retention practices).
8. Footage and Music Licensing
You, not Coachable, are responsible for clearing all licensing. This includes the footage you provide and any music, graphics, or other third-party content in your finished reel. We do not guarantee that any content in your reel is licensed or cleared for your particular use.
- Your footage: You represent and warrant that you own, or have all rights and permissions to use, every clip and photo you send us, and that giving them to us and having them edited does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Music and assets we use in production: We may incorporate music, graphics, sound, and motion-graphics templates from third-party sources such as Envato Elements. These assets are used only as part of producing your reel. We make no representation, warranty, or guarantee that any such asset, including any music track, is licensed or cleared for your specific use, posting, or distribution. Licensing terms for these sources can change, vary by asset, and may require registration or a separate license for each end use.
- Clearing licensing is your responsibility: You are solely responsible for obtaining, verifying, and clearing any and all licenses, registrations, and permissions required for your use and distribution of the finished reel, including any music or other third-party content, directly with Envato Elements or the applicable rights holder. If you are unsure whether a track or asset is cleared for your intended use, you should confirm it or replace it before publishing.
- Platform rules and takedowns: Third-party platforms (such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and others) apply their own music and copyright rules and may mute, flag, block, monetize, or remove content. These outcomes are outside our control and are not our responsibility.
- Your options: On request, we can provide a version of your reel without added music, or edit to music you supply and have cleared yourself. You assume all risk arising from the use of any music or third-party content in your delivered reel.
9. Coach-Outreach Authorization
If your package includes coach outreach, you authorize Coachable to contact college coaches and athletic programs on your behalf and to share your highlight reel and the athletic information you provided (such as name, sport, position, school, graduation year, and stats) for the purpose of supporting your recruitment.
- This authorization is given at your direction and solely to further your recruitment goals.
- We do not control whether any coach or program responds, and we do not guarantee interest, offers, or scholarships.
- You may withdraw this authorization at any time by contacting us, though we cannot recall messages already sent.
10. Parent and Athlete Media Release
To create your reel, you grant Coachable permission to receive, store, copy, edit, and process the footage and photos you provide, and the athlete's name, image, and likeness within them, for the purpose of producing your deliverables. For athletes under 18, this permission is granted by a parent or legal guardian.
Promotional use is optional and separate. We will only feature a finished reel, or an athlete's name, image, or likeness, in our own portfolio, website, or marketing if you have given us express permission to do so. For athletes under 18, that permission must come from a parent or legal guardian. You may withdraw permission for future promotional use at any time by contacting us, and we will stop using the material going forward and remove it from our own channels where reasonably possible.
11. Ownership and Intellectual Property
- Your footage: You keep ownership of the raw footage and photos you provide.
- Your finished reel: Upon full payment, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display your completed reel for your personal recruitment and promotional purposes.
- Our materials: Our templates, graphics, project files, methods, and any licensed third-party assets remain the property of Coachable or the respective licensors and are not transferred to you.
12. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and footage that you have the right to use.
- Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that depicts others without appropriate permission.
- Respond to requests for footage, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner so we can meet the delivery timeline.
- Use your finished reel in a manner consistent with these Terms and applicable rules of any school, league, or platform.
13. Disclaimers and No Guarantee of Results
Important: Coachable provides video editing and related creative services. We do not guarantee any recruiting outcome, including coach interest, roster spots, offers, scholarships, or exposure. Recruitment depends on many factors outside our control.
The Services and all deliverables are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coachable and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, arising out of or relating to the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Coachable and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: content you provide; your use, posting, or distribution of your finished reel; any music, footage, or other third-party content in your reel and the licensing (or lack of licensing) for your use of it; any claim that content you provided or published infringed another person's rights; or your breach of these Terms. Responsibility for clearing all licensing rests with you as described in Section 8, and any licensing or copyright claim arising from your use of the reel is your responsibility, not ours.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Before starting any formal proceeding, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the matter in good faith.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Changes apply to orders placed after the update. Your continued use of our Services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
